这是一个带着大家每天背单词的活动，每天上线30分钟，跟着海豚背单词复习单词，快乐地攻下单词难关哦
有些事情可以有捷径，背单词也有捷径，但是没有捷到可以不下功夫就记住，所以，要有吃苦的准备哦。

本节目适用于以下人群：
1、正在备考，还没有背单词的，可以每天跟着我们的节目背单词；
2、已经背过一部分单词的，可以通过我们的节目进行复习，省去了很多复习的精力。

本节目分为如下几个步骤：
1、词根、图片记忆（看海豚给出的关系图形象记忆单词）
2、单词逐词记忆（看单词的英英意思和相关词汇进行立体记忆）
3、例句考核（现学现用，说出题目中黑体字在句子中的含义）
4、昨日重现（复习昨天学过的内容）

做练习的时候发现很多同学都是指回答了单词的本意，在这里海豚希望大家背单词的时候多看一下英语的解释和英语的近义词，多看英英意思才能够知道这个单词的确切意思，因为毕竟英文翻译为中文的释义，还是多多少少会有一些误差。导致我们在理解句子的时候，把中文的意思拿来生搬硬套很容易出错。

insulate	词义	① to protect sth with a material that prevents heat, sound, electricity etc from passing through 使绝缘，使隔音或隔热等［+sth from/against sth］ ② to protect sb/sth from unpleasant experiences or influences 使隔离（以免遭受不愉快的经历或不良影响）［+sb/sth from/against sth］［近shield］
island	词义	① 岛 ② a place that is different in some way from the area that surrounds it（与周围地区不尽相同的）地方，处所
isle	词义	岛，群岛（常用于诗歌或岛名）
isolate	词义	① to separate sb/sth physically or socially from other people or things 隔离，孤立，隔绝［+sb/oneself/sth from sb/sth］ ② to separate a part of a situation, problem, idea etc so that you can see what it is and deal with it separately 分离，将……剔出（以便看清和单独处理）［+sth from sth］
isolate	例句	Scattered around the globe are more than 100 small regions of isolated volcanic activity known to geologists as hot spots. 地球上散落分布着一百多个互不相连的小火山活动区，被地质学家称为热点。（1998阅读Text 5）
peninsula	词义	半岛

ambition	词义	① determination to be successful, rich, powerful etc 抱负，雄心，野心［近eagerness, aspiration］ ② sth that you want to do or achieve very much 追求的目标，夙愿［近aim, desire］
ambition	例句	If ambition is to be well regarded, the rewards of ambition... must be deemed worthy of the sacrifices made on ambition's behalf. 个人的雄心如果能被正确看待的话，那么它带来的回报……则应该被认为是值得为之做出的牺牲。(2000阅读Text 5)
ambitious	词义	① determined to be successful, rich, powerful etc 有雄心大志的；野心勃勃的［近aggressive］ ② needing a lot of effort, money or time to succeed 费力的；耗资的；耗时的［近demanding］
ambitious	例句	Succeed at all costs but avoid appearing ambitious.不惜一切代价获得成功，但避免表现出雄心勃勃。（2000阅读Text 5）
initial	词义	① ［仅用于名词前］ happening at the beginning; first 开始的，最初的［近original, foremost, primary］ ② the first letter(s) of a persons first/full name 名字的首字母；［用复数］全名的首字母 ③ to mark or sign sth with your initials 在（文件等）上签上姓名的首字母（使其正式或表示同意）
initial	例句	despite a spell of initial optimism in the 1960s and 1970s虽然在20世纪60年代和70年代有过一段最初的乐观时期（2002阅读Text 2）
initiate	词义	① to make sth begin 开始；发起；创始 ② to explain sth to sb and/or make them experience it for the first time 向（某人）传授专门知识或技巧；教……开始尝试［+sb (into sth)］［近instruct, introduce］ ③ to make sb a member of a particular group （尤指在秘密仪式上）使加入，接纳［+sb (into sth)］ ④ 新加入某组织、机构或宗教的人
initiate	例句	...so that the hot spot initiates the formation of a new ocean ……因此这个热点就引发了一个新的海洋的形成（1998阅读Text 5）
initiative	词义	① the ability to decide and act on your own without waiting for sb to tell you what to do 自发性，主动性［on one's own ~］ ② a new plan for dealing with a particular problem or for achieving a particular purpose 倡议，新方案 ③ ［用the ~］ the power or opportunity to gain an advantage before other people do 掌握有利条件的能力或机会；主动权
initiative	例句	It was moreover a step away from individual initiative, towards collectivism and municipal and stateowned business. 而且这也是公司摆脱个体的自发性，向集体化和市营、国营迈出的一步。(1996阅读Text 3)
perish	词义	① (of people or animals) to die, esp. in a sudden violent way死亡，（尤指）猝死，惨死 ② to be lost or destroyed 丧失，毁灭，消亡［近decay］ ③ (of rubber, leather etc) to decay or become damaged, weaker etc (使)（橡胶、皮革等）腐坏，老化
transient	词义	① continuing for only a short time 短暂的，转瞬即逝的［近transitory，momentary, temporary］ ② passing quickly through a place or staying there for only a short time 暂住的，流动性的 ③ 暂住某地的人；临时工；过往旅客；游民
transistor	词义	① 晶体管 ② （也作transistor radio）晶体管收音机
transition	词义	the process or a period of changing from one condition or state to another过渡，转变，变迁［in+］［近evolution, shift］
