2003年第4篇考研阅读，有这样一句话：

But not even a great health-care system can cure death and our failure to confront that reality now threatens this greatness of ours.

达人留步，帮忙翻译一下好吗？最好分析一下其语法结构！！多谢

还有一句话的语法结构我也不懂：These leaders are living proof that prevention works and that we can manage the health problems that come naturally with age.

我等了一天的强人……

But not even a great health-care system can cure death ——否定前置，把not 放到谓语动词can 后面便可明了
and our failure （to confront that reality） now threatens this greatness （of ours）. ——用and 引导，与前句形成并列，谓语动词是threaten

但是再牛的医疗系统也不能治愈死亡，而我们未能去面对这个事实如今正威胁我们的伟大之处。

These leaders are living proof ——主句
that prevention works ——补充说明是什么样的proof
and that we can manage the health problems ——and 引出并列，同样是补充说明proof 的
that come naturally with age. ——说明problems 的。

这些领导者就是现实的证据，证明预防是有效的，并且证明我们能够处理随着年龄（增长）而带来的健康问题。
