Lifelong Education
Lifelong education is the process of keeping one’s mind and body engaged by actively pursing (1) knowledges and experiences all one’s life. As for me, education is indeed a lifelong pursuit. As the world is changing immensely, a good education can always present you with a better understanding of the more and more complicated world and with enough up-to-date knowledge to keep pace with it. In addition, lifelong education offers us not only the opportunity to (2)have something pursuing in our life but makes us enjoy the thorough pleasure and the sense of satisfaction after we have achieved a goal on study.
As college students, we may sometimes find our college system far from perfect, but I would cherish my college life by learning as much as I can. First of all, I’d like to take some courses that I’m keen on, such as psychology, history or esthetics, all of which would enrich my vision tremendously, or at least I won’t get tongue-tied in the conversations with others. What’s more, it’s essential to be good at some basic and practical courses like computer skills and English.
After graduation from my present university, I’d like to go to the graduate school in a more prestigious university. (3) It’s not only because I would get a Master’s degree and can have a better salary or be better prepared in my future job, but also because I’m simply interested in education for education’s sake. To be a graduate student is my childhood dream. I enjoy college life and wish to stay in campus as long as possible. Maybe I would become a Ph. D, or even a distinguished professor in the future!
In conclusion, lifelong education is of enormous benefits to every one of us, and it’s of great significance to our country as well. In light of history, (4)a nation which put great value on education is destined to be prosperous. The booming economy of Japan in postwar period is a good case in point. I am convinced that by pouring energy into education, our country will become more prosperous.

【改进建议】(1) 应改为knowledge;knowledge是不可数名词;
(2) 应改为have something to pursue;
(3) 应改为It’s not only because with a Master’s degree I would get a better salary or be better prepared for my future;
(4) 建议改为a nation valuing education is destined to be prosperous。 |
