Nowadays, tourism has become a fashion. You can always find visitors taking pictures and enjoying the scenery in the university campus during holidays, such as the May Day Holiday, National Day Holiday, summer vacations and so on. Different people have different opinions about this phenomenon. Some people think that university campus should not be open to tourists. However, some people hold the opposite opinions. The reasons are as follows.
First, tourists' visit will disturb the normal teaching and learning on campus. They always get into teaching buildings, libraries, etc, making some noise and producing some rubbish everywhere. Second, some tourists trample grass at random to take photos and engrave their words on trees, which seriously affect the environment of the campus.
However, some think that it is acceptable for the university campus to be open to the tourists. In their opinions, the reason why parents prefer visiting the university campus is that they hope their children can personally have the opportunity to experience the university life earlier, which is very useful for the children’s further study. Besides this, more tourists come to visit universities, which can make universities much more famous and at the same time universities can also make some profits from the tourism.
For my part, I will appreciate it if the universities are open in an appropriate way, in which situation, tourists can feel the great culture of the universities without bringing trouble to them.
