as you can see in this cartoon ,almost everybody is indulged themselves in the oceation of internet and the graph seems like a web,everybody involved.it means,for the first time, modern technology and internet and transenced all the national boundaries and geographic distance ,you can contact with any body at any place or any time ,with the use of internet,people are getting closer and the world is getting smaller.
But ,on the other hand ,personally i think,the internet has also distant us in some aspects.For instance,a handwirted letter is repalced by a e-mail,a paper made christmas card is change to a electric one ,people no longer see each other very often and of course ,they had lost many time for cherishing their good times.What a pity,with the exist of internet ,we are becoming aloof to each other!
so ,to my understanding ,The web is somewhat like a double blade sword,with the convienince it had brought to us ,we should also keep in touch with each other in many other ways,Only in this way ,can we say that the web has really drawed us closer
