For example, acountry could share its technology with another. This could be in simple areaslike agriculture or in more complex areas like medical and health care or evenin building satellites. Even small country is able to help less developednations. Sometimes what is take for granted, like the setting up of a waterpurification plant or the administration of a school, could be useful forcountries which are looking about to solve common problems. It does not costmuch to share such simple things. Exchange students could be attached for anumber of months or years and learn the required craft while on the site. M: A few years later, in 1955. So to answer your first question: thetallest person in the world is 231.7cm tall. And the oldest person is Jeanne L. Calment who was born in February, 1875.

The setting: Urban England (the cities), but also rural England (the countryside) including remote English villages.
The theme: The main theme is ateenage search of self-discovery, in this case the search for a mother fromwhom the hero was separated at an early age. Its other concerns are love,getting on with others, being persistent and courageous and trying to deal withdoubts, troubles and worries. As the book moves to a close, James’ swimmingcoach says to him: “You are not like a kid obeying instructions any more. Youare diving like a young man who knows where he is going.”
The characters: James is the hero ofthe story. He is a championship diver, and has a comfortable life with hisfoster parents (养父母).Yet he also has the qualities to take him on a long journey to find his birthmother. The other characters in The Snake-Stone, James’ parents, hisdiving instructor, best friend, the villagers, people he meets on his journey,are pictured realistically.
The turning point: The turning pointin the story comes while James’ foster parents are away in London, and hewonders about the identity of his birth mother. The only clue he has is afossil, “the snake stone” which she left behind along with a note on which shehad written: “Take good care of Sammie. It was written on a torn envelope withparts of an address still there.
The journey: Instead of going to London, James decides to find his birth mother. With help from his geography teacher, Jamessets out for the remote country village where his mother might be found. Jameshas painful, challenging, but also humorous and happy travels. The mother hefinally meets, Anne, has a minor yet powerful voice in the novel. He comes tounderstand why she left him at a stranger’s door fifteen years before. Althoughthe meeting is not long, it leaves him with a feeling of completeness. As ajourney of self-discovery The Snake-Stone also provides its readers witha happy ending. Its hero says, on returning to his foster parents, “I was home.”

The garden citywas largely the invention of Ebenezer Howard (1850 – 1928).
